Date: June 13th, 2021
Celebrate the all-important pollinator at the University of Alberta Botanic Gardens! Join members of the Alberta Lepidopterist Guild to learn more about butterfly and moth species at a display and identification table. There will also be guided walks through the Garden to catch and identify butterflies (limited capacity for guided walks, please sign up when you register for admission). The Royal Pollinator Court will also be in attendance – can spot Princess Monarch, Queen Bee and Baron Beetle?
The Garden can be a great place to capture photos of birds, plants, mammals, moss, lichen, mushrooms and insects, to contribute to the YEG BiodiverCity Challenge! Bring your camera, document the amazing biodiversity that can be found at the Garden, and share it to NatureLynx or iNaturalist before June 20th to contribute to the BioBlitz.
Note: Activities are planned with safety in mind. However, all activities are subject to changing health restrictions and may be cancelled.
Activities are free with regular admission to the Garden.
Advance registration required for admission.
